Job summary

Movable Ink, a leader in data-driven marketing content, seeks an Engineer for the Data Platform team. The role focuses on designing and building systems to ingest, process, and expose large data volumes that power Movable Ink's products, with a strong emphasis on reliability, governance, and scalable architectures.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn new technologies and problem domains.
• Focus on solving big picture problems with the end user in mind.
• Strong understanding of data governance and data lifecycle management.
• Experience with OLAP/OLTP and data warehouse tech on production scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver data ingestion pipelines and infrastructure.
• Migrate legacy data lifecycle management to the new platform without disruption.
• Establish SLIs/SLOs with dashboards and alerts for data performance.
• Build a multi-tenant data model for secure data sharing across clients.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, and ML teams to define contracts and standards.
• Develop semantic metadata layer for data asset classification and policy exposure.
