Job summary

First PREMIER Bank in Sioux Falls is seeking a data engineer to design and optimize data workflows, pipelines, and infrastructure powering BI reporting and financial analytics. You will collaborate with BI developers and IT teams to deliver governed data solutions supporting compliance and operational efficiency.

Role requires translating business needs to technical requirements, with experience in data strategy and cross-functional collaboration across financial services.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with 2–4 years experience preferred.
• Strong SQL and data pipeline skills.
• Experience with BI reporting and IT performance monitoring.
• Knowledge of credit card systems is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating data gaps with stakeholders to remove dependencies.
• Collaborate with analysts to integrate data from multiple sources.
• Research and resolve data issues with IT and analysts.
• Build and maintain enterprise datasets with senior data engineers.
• Develop ETL pipelines to load data into the data warehouse.
• Complete UAT on data projects.
• Coordinate code changes and production releases.
• Monitor reporting infrastructure and resolve issues.
