Job summary

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is building and operating a data platform to enable program impact measurement and data-informed decisions across national, state, and local teams.

You will design a central data warehouse, ELT pipelines, and analytics tooling to support leadership with reliable, integrated data, while reducing manual reporting and enabling self-service access for affiliates and partners.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years in data, analytics, or backend engineering.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
• Experience with version-controlled production ELT/ETL pipelines, including testing and monitoring.
• Solid understanding of data modeling (dimensional modeling, layered architecture).
• Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement a central data warehouse and ELT pipelines pulling from micro-services, Salesforce, and LMS.
• Enable leadership to measure program impact using integrated data.
• Lower manual reporting by delivering curated datasets and self-service reporting for state and local teams.
• Partner with stakeholders to expand on-demand data access and improve reporting workflows.
• Own data quality with automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD as the platform scales.
• Handle incidents end-to-end from source to dashboard.
