The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data pipelines. You will support Azure-based data services and ensure data quality, usability, and performance across campus analytics and reporting.

The role leverages Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure Data Lake Storage to deliver trusted data assets for student success, finance, and research.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of data engineering experience.
• Strong SQL proficiency (T-SQL, Spark SQL) for analytics.
• Experience with Azure SQL databases / RDBMS performance tuning.
• ETL/ELT data pipelines development.
• Databricks and Azure Data Factory familiarity.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering.
• Git and CI/CD practices for data pipeline deployment.
• Ability to document and communicate solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Lake Storage.
• IaC concepts (Databricks Asset Bundles; Terraform/Bicep/ARM).
• Data modeling (dimensional/star schema).
• Governance and metadata management tools.
• Knowledge of higher education data systems.
