Job summary

The Hershey Company is seeking a Platform Engineer, Data & Analytics Platforms to run and improve enterprise data platforms powering Hershey’s data products. You will partner with data, cloud, and security teams to standardize environments, automate delivery, and improve reliability across dev, test, and production.

You will build self-service tooling, guardrails, and scalable templates to enhance data product teams' speed and quality while controlling costs and security.

Qualifications

• Hands-on administration and operations for Databricks and Azure data platform services.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for automation and troubleshooting; Git for source control.
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD in Azure DevOps, and secure deployments.
• Familiarity with MLflow and MLOps patterns is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate core data platform components including Databricks and Azure services across development, test, and production.
• Build and maintain CI/CD and environment standardization using Azure DevOps and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
• Implement observability (logging, monitoring, alerting, dashboards) and maintain runbooks for proactive detection.
• Implement identity/access controls, secrets management, and configuration standards in partnership with Cloud COE and Security.
• Plan and execute platform releases and upgrades and coordinate change communications to minimize disruption.
• Enable MLOps capabilities and provide self-service tooling for Data Product teams.
