Job summary

The Phoenix Group in Scottsdale seeks a Data Platform Engineer to oversee enterprise data platform architecture, manage cloud data warehouse environments, and build data ingestion workflows to support analytics and AI applications.

You will design scalable pipelines (CDC, ETL/ELT, API integrations), curate data sets and semantic models, ensure governance, and collaborate with analytics teams to onboard sources and document data lineage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of data engineering or enterprise BI experience with cloud data warehouses.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting for data transformation.
• Experience with multi-cloud data architectures and security controls.
• Familiarity with AI tools and Snowflake Cortex is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Administer enterprise cloud data warehouse environments across multi-cloud or hybrid setups.
• Monitor and optimize performance, security, and costs while meeting SLAs.
• Design and support scalable data pipelines using CDC, ETL/ELT, API, and batch loads.
• Build curated datasets, semantic views, and data models for BI and AI apps.
• Collaborate with data owners to onboard sources and document data lineage.
• Support deployment of AI-enabled applications and integrations with data workflows.
• Partner with architecture teams on semantic layers and knowledge graphs.
• Document architecture and provide training to users.
• Evaluate new platform capabilities and drive adoption in production.
