Job summary

Sidley Austin LLP is seeking a Technical Product Owner in Chicago, IL, to drive the Databricks data platform and BI layer. You will translate business needs into epics, manage the backlog, and coordinate Agile delivery for a cross-functional team.

You will support roadmaps, releases, and governance while ensuring scalable, well-governed data solutions across the firm. The role requires 5+ years in technical product ownership, strong data architecture knowledge, and proficiency with Jira/Azure

Qualifications

5+ years in technical product ownership or related roles
Translating business and technical requirements into epics and user stories
Coordinating day-to-day Agile delivery for a scrum team
Experience with data platforms, BI, APIs, and data modeling
Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Strong communication for diverse stakeholders

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the product backlog for data platform and BI capabilities
Translate requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria
Coordinate Agile delivery for a scrum team and facilitate ceremonies
Monitor delivery plans, milestones, risks, and metrics
Coordinate across data engineering, BI, QA, DevOps, security, and infrastructure
Support roadmap and release planning with estimates and dependencies
Coordinate release readiness activities and stakeholder communications
Liaise between business and technical teams on requirements and priorities
