Securian Financial Group in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a Data Engineer for a hybrid role. You will design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines to support AI, analytics, and enterprise use cases, while evolving data architecture and governance.

Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, product managers, and tech teams to deliver trusted, secure data solutions. Ideal candidates have a 4-year CS degree (or related), 2+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, Python/Java, and experience

Qualifications

• 4 year degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on, professional experience working in Data Engineering.
• Experience with ETL, data storage options, data quality, working with structured and unstructured data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize data pipelines and transformations enabling Artificial Intelligence, advanced analytics, and other enterprise use cases.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, technology teams and other stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize tasks, and deliver data solutions that excite stakeholders and deliver business value.
• Mentor and consult with team members and other areas to ensure best practices and optimal data solutions are implemented.
