Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Data Owner Lead to drive data governance, quality, and strategic data initiatives across consumer banking analytics. You will partner with data engineers, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted data products.

You will oversee data scoping, metadata, and risk controls, leveraging SQL and cloud platforms to enable scalable analytics, reporting, and ML use cases in a regulated financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a data-related field.
• 6+ years in data-related field.
• Advanced SQL proficiency (joins, window functions, CTEs).
• Hands-on data testing and validation framework experience.
• 5+ years in data management or data governance with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data tech (Hadoop/Spark).
• Experience developing roadmaps for data lake/data warehouse/BI dashboards.
• Leading data publishing initiatives to improve business insights while maintaining standards.
• Data governance and compliance methods to reduce data risk and ensure proper usage.
• Strong ability to manage stakeholders and communicate across teams.
• Experience with agile practices and collaboration with technology scrum teams.

Responsibilities

• Implement strategic plans to deliver data solutions and data products.
• Provide subject matter expertise on data content and usage.
• Identify critical data scope and document with metadata/classification.
• Support analytics by identifying data for integration and documenting requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data product requirements; work with data engineering to deploy solutions.
• Develop processes to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks (protection, retention, storage, quality).
• Manage milestones and coordinate with partners for timely data deliveries.
• Track and manage workstreams and KPIs for successful deliveries.
• Manage direct or matrixed staff executing data-related tasks.
• Use SQL and tooling to test/validate data quality across datasets.
• Govern data integration into analytics platforms and design fit-for-purpose datasets.
• Communicate data issues and drive remediation and preventative controls.
• Leverage AI/ML/LLM tooling to automate governance and data management.
