Job summary

impact.com is seeking a Data Operations Specialist to drive a data-first transformation within the Customer Engineering organization, elevating data mastery and operational excellence across Salesforce, Freshdesk, Jira, and internal systems.

You will standardize KPIs, enable scalable dashboards, and partner with Data Analytics to deliver accurate insights, striving for clean, compliant data and streamlined reporting.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in data operations, business operations, or related fields.
  • Expertise in data compliance, data quality, and operational process improvement.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional data projects and initiatives.
  • Fluency with modern data stacks (BigQuery, Looker, dbt, etc.).
  • Demonstrated mastery of SQL and data querying.
  • Familiarity with ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (preference for Looker).

  • Optimize Structure: Critically evaluate and enhance underlying data structures and processes
  • Ensure Data Integrity: Enforce rigorous data compliance standards, implement ongoing quality assurance practices, and own cleaning of historical data
  • Operationalize Insight: Establish standardized KPIs and performance metrics to empower decision-making
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partner closely with our Data Analytics team to ensure seamless integration and accurate insights
  • Empower Teams: Set up intuitive, actionable dashboards, automate existing manual reports, and champion adoption across the organization
  • Lead Cadence: Implement effective data review cycles, ensuring continuous alignment and visibility on performance and trends

  • Ability to translate technical data structures into clear, accessible language for non-technical stakeholders
