Job summary

The Cigna Group is seeking a Data Management Strategy & Governance Advisor to convert architecture and business rules into trusted, reusable data products through MVPs that are production‑grade. You will build scalable data structures, promote designs through governed CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate across architecture, analytics, and platform teams to deliver federated Silver/Gold data assets.

You will apply AI and automation to accelerate builds while upholding governance, security, and cost

Qualifications

• 3+ years building production‑grade data solutions.
• 50/50 blend of business fluency and hands‑on engineering.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks, Spark, Unity Catalog, SQL, and Python.
• Familiarity with Snowflake and Teradata in addition to a Databricks‑first stack.
• Expert knowledge of dimensional and medallion modeling (Silver/Gold).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated code evaluation, and controlled production promotions.
• Strong software‑engineering discipline: version control, code review, reusable code.
• Performance tuning and cost optimization of Spark/SQL at scale.
• Familiarity with data governance and cataloging tooling such as Collibra.

Responsibilities

• Build production‑grade data solutions from architectural designs and business requirements.
• Transform data requirements into MVP that answers business questions.
• Refactor and reuse learning‑stage work into durable production assets.
• Build Silver models and Gold data assets per enterprise standards.
• Deliver Gold solutions via MVP with governed CI/CD promotions to production.
• Ensure governance, security, and cost checks are applied from day one.
