Job summary

Goldbelt Professional Services LLC is seeking a Data Manager I to provide public health program and data analysis for clinical guidelines and recommendations support for the Office of the Director (OD).

You will conduct literature reviews, extract data into summary tables, and perform evidence aggregation to support guideline development; join CDC-related projects and interaction with DHQP leadership.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic proficiency with Excel and databases; familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, or data-management systems.
• Ability to perform data entry, cleaning, validation, reconciliation, and basic quality-control activities.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication; highly organized with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Maintain monthly project method summaries and ensure scientific accuracy.
• Provide progress updates to DHQP leadership and guideline teams.
• Support development of CDC infection control guidelines and participate in CDC response activities.

Overview

Goldbelt Professional Services specializes in providing expert resources for Public Health missions including scientific, technical, and administrative support from junior staff to high-level subject matter experts. Research and data driven, Goldbelt Professional Services' experts create solutions customized to the client's needs.

Summary

Goldbelt Professional Services is seeking a Data Manager I to provide public health program and data analysis for clinical guidelines and recommendations support for the Office of the Director (OD).

Responsibilities

• Conduct preliminary and systematic literature reviews, including search strategy development, database searches, literature retrieval, and reference library/bibliography maintenance.
• Extract data from evidence into draft summary tables.
• Perform evidence aggregation and assessment using evaluation tools.
• Maintain summaries of methods used for monthly projects.
• Review evidence extractions and methods for scientific accuracy.
• Provide progress summaries and updates to DHQP leadership and the guideline development team.
• Provide additional knowledge to support development of CDC infection control guidelines.
• Participate during CDC response activities and training exercises under direction of the DHQP Team Lead; duties include staffing the EOC desk to help support CDC's mission.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing to make clear, convincing presentations.
• Knowledge of the rules, procedures, and principles that govern intramural and extramural program development, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Highly proficient in using Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint).
• Excellent judgment and decision-making; capable of working independently with ability to multitask successfully.
• Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication in interpersonal exchanges.
• Highly organized with great attention to detail.

Minimum Qualifications

• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic proficiency with Excel and databases; familiarity with SQL, reporting tools, or data-management systems.
• Ability to perform data entry, cleaning, validation, reconciliation, and basic quality-control activities.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot routine data discrepancies.
• Ability to obtain and maintain CDC Public Trust Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Public Health, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience providing public health data analysis and manipulating, cleaning, and reporting data using a variety of statistical functions.
• Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desired to understand the culture and environment.

Pay and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 annually.
