Job description

Location: Remote, must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Overview:

The Data Manager leads a data operations and support team responsible for supporting education-related data systems, integrations, and workflows. This individual will act as the primary interface with external partners and customer stakeholders, ensure efficient delivery of data services, and oversee the development and support of automated tools and dashboards. The role requires strong technical acumen, project management skills, and leadership capabilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary point of contact (POC) for client stakeholders.
• Lead and manage a team that includes Qualtrics specialists, client system experts and support staff.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of data automations and system integrations.
• Simplify and optimize the data environment and tools to improve usability and performance.
• Use dashboards and metrics to monitor service desk tickets and change requests (CRs).
• Coordinate schedules and deliverables across multiple team members and workstreams.
• Ensure high-quality delivery of system enhancements and support services.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration among team members and external vendors.
• Provide escalation support and guidance for high-priority tickets and issues.
• Lead the continued implementation of industry best practices for support and deployment of systems, tools and custom integrations.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in data systems, integration management, or technical operations.
• 2+ years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of platforms and tools (e.g. Qualtrics, Airtable, Google Looker, Smart Sheet, Power Automate).
• Experience with project management tools and service ticketing systems.
• Proven ability to lead diverse technical teams and manage client relationships.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with education or public sector data systems.
• Experience with Qualtrics workflows and Power Automate scripting.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
