Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Management Technician responsible for creating and maintaining accurate records of telecommunication fiber systems efficiently and cost-effectively. The role involves utilizing data management tools to represent fiber systems accurately.

Job Duties

1. Create and maintain accurate graphical information of the fiber system using current graphics software.
2. Maintain accurate customer information for outage management analysis.
3. Prioritize daily tasks such as tickets, trouble calls, CSAs, premise fixes, audit requests, LCP audits, job postings, and closings with limited guidance.
4. Assist field technicians with fiber trouble calls promptly and correct errors in fiber records systems.
5. Work quickly and accurately, as fiber system data impacts order processing and service installation.
6. Collaborate with Sales to verify outside plant facilities for orders.
7. Submit reports timely as requested.
8. Assist with beta testing for system upgrades.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of fiber design or drafting experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electric and fiber outside plant maps, design drawings, and quickly learn electric and fiber distribution systems with engineering standards.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
