Job summary

VCU is seeking a Data Management Specialist in the Department of Biostatistics within the School of Public Health. The role focuses on building data capture solutions using REDCap and Veeva EDC, providing controlled data access, and performing audits to ensure high-quality data across multiple study sites.

Key duties include data transfer, knowledge documentation, and proactive initiative in solving data-related challenges in a dynamic research environment.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

• Become power user of REDCap, Veeva EDC, and build data capture solutions.
• Provide data access and ad hoc reporting for authorized users.
• Perform data audits to locate missing or incongruent data entries and drive resolution.
• Communicate with DCC and study teams across remote sites to enforce data collection standards.
• Facilitate secure file transfers and data sharing using FileLocker, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.
• Document solutions for knowledge management and dissemination within the team.
