Job summary

PDS Health is seeking a data engineer to join our team in Irvine. You will collaborate with product owners, analysts, and engineers to design data flows and pipelines, load data from multiple sources, and apply complex business logic to build robust data structures.

The role focuses on maintaining data quality, pipelines, and infrastructure while driving automation and scalable solutions for a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or 5+ years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years of experience in database development, OLTP and Data Warehouse concepts, cloud data platform, data pipelines, agile methodologies, source control, and SDLC.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Scala.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Data Warehouse Product Owner and BSA to understand business needs and write user stories.
• Work with Sr Engineer and Data Architect to develop data flows and data pipelines.
• Load data from diverse sources and apply business logic to normalize/denormalize data structures.
• Diagnose and fix data pipelines, data quality, and accessibility issues.
• Manage and optimize data warehouse, data lake, and related infrastructure.
• Implement data validation, monitoring, and data lineage for accuracy and reliability.
• Automate data workflows to reduce manual effort.
