Job summary

Balt Group is seeking a Sr Data & AI Engineer to join on-site in Irvine, CA. You will architect data platforms, enable AI initiatives, and partner with US business teams to deliver scalable ETL, data governance, and AI-ready data assets within our Snowflake and Tableau ecosystem.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years building data pipelines, strong SQL, Snowflake/Talend Cloud experience, and hands-on Python. This role blends data engineering with AI enablement in a fast-growing medical devices

Qualifications

5+ years of development experience with Snowflake and Talend Cloud.
5+ years of development experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
5+ years of expert-level SQL skills
Experience with Openflow and Python
Curiosity about AI/ML or GenAI tools (e.g., experimenting with LLMs, Copilot-style tools, or Snowflake Cortex)
Strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

Data Collection and Processing: gather requirements, plan scalable US data architecture, implement data collection, transformation, storage, and display.
Data Quality and Governance: define and implement data management strategy, govern data lifecycle, automate cleansing.
AI Exploration & Enablement: identify practical AI opportunities, pilot AI/ML tools, prepare AI-ready data, test proofs of concept.
External support: manage external service providers and oversee data environments (ETL, Data Lake, MDM).
Write technical specifications and present status to IT team and stakeholders.
