Job summary

• Knowledge of deficiency analysis and remediation in health records.
• Solid medical terminology and health information concepts.
• Understanding of EMR content, records management, and data quality.
• Experience with structured data in EMR systems and privacy laws.
• Familiarity with regulations guiding health information and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Analyze medical records within work queues and identify deficiencies.
• Scan and verify discharge paperwork for accuracy and legibility.
• Assign deficiencies to physicians in Epic with correct routing.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of analysis work queues daily.
• Review documentation for Joint Commission and CMS compliance.
• Assist physicians on documentation requirements and queries.
• Maintain and update Epic deficiency records with accuracy.
