Job summary

IDR is seeking a Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise integrations and APIs across healthcare systems. This role focuses on interoperability and interface work, partnering with internal teams and external vendors to deliver secure, reliable data exchange across clinical and business platforms.

You’ll work primarily with Boomi, Epic Bridges/interfaces, HL7, and have exposure to X12 and FHIR, supporting on‑prem and cloud environments (Azure and Snowflake).

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Healthcare IT (integration / application / database development).
• Epic Bridges interfaces experience is highly preferred.
• 2+ years with an integration platform (Boomi preferred; others like Mirth, Cloverleaf, MuleSoft).
• Solid SQL experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations using Boomi (workflows, connectors, transformations, error handling, monitoring).
• Support Epic interface/integration work (troubleshooting, enhancements, interface flows, stakeholder coordination).
• X12 EDI and CMS interoperability use cases.
• Support event-driven and near-real-time integration patterns (Azure Event Hubs/Service Bus).

This role focuses on healthcare interoperability and interface work (not a pure modern data engineering role), partnering with internal teams and external vendors to deliver secure, reliable data exchange across clinical and business platforms. Youll work primarily with Boomi, Epic Bridges/interfaces, and standards like HL7 (plus exposure to X12/FHIR), supporting integrations across on-prem and cloud environments (including Azure and Snowflake).

• Build and maintain integrations using Boomi (workflows, connectors, transformations, error handling, monitoring).
• Support Epic interface/integration work (troubleshooting, enhancements, interface flows, coordination with stakeholders).
• X12 EDI (e.g., CMS interoperability-aligned use cases)
• Support event-driven and near-real-time integration patterns (Azure Event Hubs/Service Bus as applicable).
