Job summary

IDR in Austin, TX is seeking a Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise integrations across healthcare systems, focusing on interoperability and secure data exchange between clinical and business platforms.

You will work with Boomi, Epic Bridges/interfaces, HL7 and related standards, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors across on‑prem and cloud environments (Azure, Snowflake) to deliver reliable integrations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Healthcare IT focused on integration or related development.
• Epic Bridges interfaces experience preferred.
• 2+ years with an integration platform and solid SQL experience.
• Bachelors degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrations using Boomi and associated workflows.
• Support Epic interface/integration work and coordinate with stakeholders.

IDR is seeking a Data Integration Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise integrations and APIs across healthcare systems. This role focuses on healthcare interoperability and interface work (not a pure modern data engineering role), partnering with internal teams and external vendors to deliver secure, reliable data exchange across clinical and business platforms. Youll work primarily with Boomi, Epic Bridges/interfaces, and standards like HL7 (plus exposure to X12/FHIR), supporting integrations across on-prem and cloud environments (including Azure and Snowflake).

• Build and maintain integrations using Boomi (workflows, connectors, transformations, error handling, monitoring).
• Support Epic interface/integration work (troubleshooting, enhancements, interface flows, coordination with stakeholders).
• X12 EDI (e.g., CMS interoperability-aligned use cases)
• Support event-driven and near-real-time integration patterns (Azure Event Hubs/Service Bus as applicable).
• 2+ years in Healthcare IT (integration / application / database development)
• ~ Epic Bridges interfaces experience (highly preferred)
• ~2+ years with an integration platform (Boomi preferred; Mirth, Cloverleaf, MuleSoft, etc. Solid SQL experience)
• ~ Bachelors degree (preferred)

Bonus

• Epic Bridges Interfaces certification and/or Boomi Professional Integration Developer certification
• Experience with Azure services, Snowflake, and landing/staging data pipelines
