Job summary

Liberty University is seeking a Business Data Analyst II to join the Analytics and Decision Support (ADS) Student Affairs team. The role focuses on transforming data into actionable insights to improve decision-making across Student Affairs and Spiritual Development, including reporting, dashboards, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 1-2 years' related experience is required.
• 1-2 years of SQL experience is preferred.
• Advanced Excel and Access experience.
• Experience with reporting tools like Argos or SSRS.
• Experience working in at least one mainstream industry BI platform (Tableau).

Responsibilities

• Analyze workflow issues and data integrity; advise management.
• Lead projects transforming business processes with data.
• Document and optimize processes using best practices.
• Understand core processes; identify analytics needs and gaps.
• Use diagnostic/predictive/prescriptive analysis to drive decisions.
• Summarize raw data sets for departmental use and validate data.
• Align data analyses with organizational goals and report impacts.
• Collaborate with business units on functional topics.
• Streamline processes via new or existing technology and reporting.
• Provide operational support to systems and provide technical assistance.
• Provide regular updates to customers on improvements.
• Occasionally support after-hours system upgrades.
