Job summary

FM, a leading mutual insurance company, seeks a Senior Administrative & Data Reporting Specialist to support the All Risk Underwriting and Natural Hazards and Aggregation teams. The role combines underwriting reporting with high-level administrative coordination.

Based in Johnston, RI or Norwood, MA, the position offers exposure to performance visibility, dashboards, and data validation, along with operations coordination and leadership routines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a role combining administrative support and data/reporting responsibilities.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, structured tables).
• Experience with or ability to learn reporting/visualization tools such as Power BI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Produce and maintain recurring operational scorecards, dashboards, and reports.
• Gather, validate, and reconcile data from multiple sources; investigate anomalies.
• Translate data into decision-ready insights and operational recommendations.
• Partner with Underwriting leadership to understand reporting needs and refine metrics.
• Develop concise summaries and visuals connecting data to business context.
• Improve reporting processes using Excel, Power BI, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.
• Flag risks and opportunities to leaders and teams.
• Anticipate reporting needs tied to leadership rhythms and audits.
