Job summary

ITAC Solutions in Birmingham, AL is seeking a data engineer to build and optimize SQL/Python ETL pipelines, integrating external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, and designing data models. You will collaborate with stakeholders to turn business needs into practical data solutions and ensure data quality across platforms.

You will automate processes across business applications, support data governance, security, and system architecture while leveraging Azure, SaaS, and cloud-hosted apps.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL.
• Hands-on Python scripting for ETL and automation.
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON/XML, OAuth, and API keys.
• Experience with Azure, SaaS, and cloud-hosted applications.
• Acumatica, Microsoft GP, SalesPad, ZenDesk, or StockIQ experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and optimize SQL/Python ETL pipelines and data integrations.
• Integrate external systems through REST/SOAP APIs.
• Design databases, data models, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
• Optimize SQL performance and maintain database health.
• Automate processes across business applications and third-party systems.
• Partner with stakeholders to translate needs into effective data solutions.
• Support data governance, security, documentation, and system architecture.
