We’re looking for a Data Governance Specialist to help advance True Rx’s enterprise data governance program. In this role, you’ll partner with business and technical teams to improve data quality, establish trusted definitions, strengthen data ownership and governance processes, and help ensure critical business data is accurate, consistent, and reliable.

Work in office: 10%; Work from home: 90%

What You’ll Do:
  • Help develop, implement, and maintain enterprise data governance standards, policies, procedures, and stewardship practices.
  • Promote practical adoption of enterprise data standards across business areas.
  • Participate in governance committees, stewardship sessions, definition reviews, issue reviews, and change-impact discussions.
  • Identify and help manage critical data elements and the data quality controls associated with them.
  • Build and maintain data quality monitoring processes, scorecards, issue logs, and recurring reports.
  • Investigate data discrepancies, identify patterns and root causes, and coordinate issue remediation.
  • Validate new or modified data structures, mappings, calculations, transformations, integrations, and migrated data against approved business requirements.
Put SQL & Analytics to Work
  • Write and maintain SQL queries to profile, validate, reconcile, monitor, and analyze data across multiple systems and sources.
  • Use data analysis to identify quality issues, exceptions, and trends that require attention.
  • Help translate findings into clear, actionable information for both business and technical teams.
Build Trusted Data Definitions
  • Partner with data owners, subject matter experts, business partners, and technical teams to document business definitions and rules.
  • Maintain information related to valid values, ownership, systems of record, lineage references, and appropriate data usage.
  • Create and maintain governance documentation, procedures, user guides, training materials, decision records, and approval or exception documentation.
Partner Across the Organization
  • Communicate data quality findings, governance decisions, risks, dependencies, and remediation progress to stakeholders.
  • Build relationships across business and technical teams to encourage consistent, practical governance practices.
What You’ll Bring:
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, business analysis, reporting, or a related discipline.
  • Hands-on SQL experience is required, including the ability to independently write queries for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and issue investigation.
  • Experience analyzing datasets and identifying data quality issues, patterns, exceptions, and root causes.
  • Experience documenting business rules, data definitions, process requirements, and data-related decisions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent writing, documentation, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate within a team.
  • Path to Wellness: Health, Vision, & Dental Insurance, Health Savings Account, and Wellness Incentives for a balanced life.
  • Financial Fitness: 401k Matching and Employer-Provided Life Insurance to secure your future.
  • Work-Life Harmony: Flex Time, Hybrid/Fully Remote Work, Paid Time Off, and 8 Paid Holidays for a well-rounded lifestyle.
