Job summary

Inspire Medical Systems is seeking a Data Governance Lead to advance our data governance program across multiple domains on the Azure cloud. You will define policies, drive implementation with Purview, Unity Catalog, and Profisee, and partner with data stewards and engineers to ensure data quality and compliance.

You will lead governance initiatives, train stakeholders, and report on KPIs while collaborating with our analytics teams in a fast-paced medical device environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, data management, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of data governance frameworks and methodologies.
• Experience with data governance tools, data catalogs, data dictionaries, data lineage, data quality, and data security.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities with data issue resolution.
• Passion for data and continuous learning.
• Comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Define and operate the data governance policies that support multiple data domains.
• Implement the data governance program vision using Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog and Profisee, promoting governance and policy enforcement.
• Develop and communicate Data Governance policies to stakeholders, with guidance from the L&D team.
• Provide oversight for Asset Management to ensure awareness across the organization and drive data standards.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and business units to meet analytical needs and ensure data quality.
• Monitor the governance program's effectiveness and report KPIs and metrics.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and innovation in data governance.
• Lead or participate in meetings and coordinate with data stewards and owners.
