Job summary

Inspire Medical Systems seeks a Data Governance Lead to build and mature its enterprise data governance program, establishing policies, processes, and stewardship to ensure data is trusted, governed, and fit for business and regulatory use.

The role collaborates with business leaders, data owners, engineers, and analytics teams to improve data quality, master data, and governance adoption across the organization while embedding governance into data products and AI readiness.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data governance, data management, or related discipline
• Experience building or maturing an enterprise data governance program
• Ability to engage with architects, engineers, and analytics teams on data topics
• Influence and drive changes across business and tech teams
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with prioritization abilities
• Commitment to continuous improvement and governance maturity

Responsibilities

• Build and mature Inspire's enterprise data governance program and stewardship framework.
• Establish governance standards for ownership, quality, metadata, lineage, security, and lifecycle management.
• Partner with stakeholders to define data ownership, stewardship, and governance processes.
• Align KPIs and performance measures with strategic priorities and operational outcomes.
• Lead governance discussions on data modeling, metadata, lineage, and trusted data product design.
• Lead metadata management, data catalog, lineage, master data, and stewardship initiatives.
• Facilitate governance councils and cross-functional sessions.
• Drive adoption of governance practices through education and measurable outcomes.
• Promote trusted, well-documented data products that support analytics and AI capabilities.
• Ensure governance supports regulatory compliance while enabling business outcomes.
