Job summary

EXL is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to support the design, implementation, adoption, and operationalization of Data Governance capabilities across Fusion. You will work closely with data owners, stewards, and project teams to embed governance into day-to-day operations.

You will help define minimum viable governance processes, establish accountability structures, and contribute to governance reporting and training materials for broad adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years in IT industry
• Experience in Data Governance, Data Management, or Master Data Management
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• Experience documenting business processes, roles, and operating models
• Ability to translate complex concepts into practical business guidance
• Strong workshop facilitation, communication, and presentation skills
• Experience creating training and business adoption materials
• Excellent organisational and coordination skills
• Familiarity with governance operating models and accountability structures
• Experience working in large, multi-business-unit environments

Responsibilities

• Define, document, and implement minimum viable Data Governance processes to support Fusion master data management
• Support embedding governance controls and accountability across business units
• Ensure governance processes are practical and aligned to business priorities
• Articulate governance roles and responsibilities (Data Owners, Stewards, etc.)
• Support onboarding suitable individuals to fulfil governance roles
• Define Data Governance success measures, KPIs, and reporting approaches
• Coordinate UAT and post go-live governance workflows
• Collect feedback to improve governance artefacts and processes
• Facilitate governance forums and cross-functional collaboration
• Produce governance documentation, including operating models and decision logs
• Develop and deliver training and adoption materials
• Support transition of governance to BAU and handover of artefacts
