Job summary

Omnicell is seeking a Manager, Data Governance to join the Legal Department and define how data is managed, trusted, and used across the company. You will develop standards and policies, establish a data use program, and design a HIPAA-compliant de-identification process to enable responsible analytics.

You will collaborate with Privacy, Legal, IT, and Security to ensure data practices meet regulatory obligations and internal policies, driving data literacy and governance improvements.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related discipline.
• Experience developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
• Experience establishing data quality metrics and monitoring mechanisms.
• Familiarity with HIPAA/HITECH, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and how they shape data governance.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain data governance standards, policies, and procedures across the data lifecycle.
• Translate governance requirements into practical processes and controls for operational adoption.
• Establish a formal data use program with clear quality standards, approvals, and accountability.
• Define data ownership and stewardship models across business and technical teams.
• Design and operate a HIPAA de-identification program to enable analytics while protecting PHI.
• Provide regular reporting on data quality, policy adoption, and governance metrics.
• Collaborate with Privacy, Legal, Enterprise Security, Quality, and IT to align data practices with laws and contracts.
