Job summary

Station Casinos LLC. is seeking a Technical Data Steward to develop and publish data definitions, ensure data quality, and support governance efforts across systems and platforms.

You will gather requirements, translate them into technical specs, and build dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for business decisions. Collaboration with stakeholders and adherence to governance standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/BA or related field.
• 2+ years in data management or data stewardship.
• Experience with hospitality, gaming or accounting apps.
• Proven experience with data governance tools, data quality tools, and BI platforms.
• Strong analytical and data visualization skills (SQL, Cognos, Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
• Knowledge of agile principles and practices.
• Self-motivated with ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication with stakeholders and team members.
• On-call rotation availability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish data definitions, rules, mappings and transformations.
• Promote data governance frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency across systems.
• Monitor data standards, definitions and lifecycle management.
• Conduct data audits and profiling to identify data quality issues.
• Gather and document business requirements for data projects.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications for IT teams.
• Develop dashboards, reports and visualizations to communicate findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data initiatives with business goals.
• Provide training and support to business users on data management practices.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Stay updated with industry trends in data governance and BI.
