Job summary

Sciens Software Technologies is seeking a Data Governance engineer with 8+ years' experience, focused on US healthcare and OpenMetadata/Collate implementations. You will translate business needs into actionable data management outcomes, drive cross-functional collaboration, and strengthen data quality and metadata practices.

Expect collaboration with Business, IT, Compliance, and Data Owners, with EST overlap.

Qualifications

US healthcare experience required.
8+ years of experience in data governance.
5+ years of OpenMetadata tool experience is a must.
Experience with OpenMetadata tool - Collate integration.
Experience with multiple customer implementations.
Experience in data quality, data stewardship, and metadata management.
Ability to translate business needs into actionable data management outcomes.
Strong communication and ability to provide 4 hour overlap with EST timings.

Responsibilities

Work on data governance workflows and data contracts.
Contribute to data products and governance-related RACI and ontology.
Clarify requirements and guide non-technical stakeholders.
Drive cross-functional collaboration across Business, IT, Compliance, and Data Owners.
Assess and strengthen foundational practices in Data Quality, Data Stewardship, and Metadata Management.
Support validation and assessment activities through basic data querying/profiling.
