Utah Transit Authority seeks a Data Governance Engineer to safeguard data quality and drive governance across the enterprise. You will work with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to define scope, requirements, and test parameters for enterprise data solutions.

The role emphasizes collaboration, attention to detail, and strong communication as you develop and maintain data governance programs and catalogs in a large transit environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
• 3+ years in rollout, administration, and operation of a Data Catalog Platform.
• 5+ years in a data analytics environment.
• Experience building Enterprise Data Catalog and data steward networks.
• Expert in at least one Data Catalog Platform (DataEdo, Alation, Atlan, Colibra, Informatica).

Responsibilities

• Ensure information accuracy across the enterprise data landscape.
• Support data integration focusing on shared master data for development and analytics platforms.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders on enterprise data solutions.
• Design and implement a robust data quality methodology.
• Lead governance processes and documentation with data stewards across the organization.
