Job summary

Utah Transit Authority seeks a Data Governance Engineer to drive data quality and governance across enterprise data environments. You will work on large data warehouses and BI systems in Salt Lake City, collaborating with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders to ensure data integrity and reliable analytics.

You will design robust data quality methodologies, identify quality issues, and implement governance processes while mentoring data stewards and aligning with business needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field required.
• 3+ years deploying and administering a Data Catalog Platform.
• 5+ years in analytic data environments and data industry.
• Pass background checks as required by the organization.
• Experience building enterprise data catalogs and data stewardship networks.
• Expert in at least one data catalog platform (DataEdo/Alation/Atlan/Colibra/Informatica).

Responsibilities

• Ensure information accuracy across the enterprise data landscape.
• Support data integration focusing on shared mastered data.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and stakeholders on data solutions.
• Design and implement data quality methodologies.
• Identify data quality issues and propose data-driven solutions.
• Work with large-scale data warehouses and BI systems.
• Collaborate with the Senior Data Governance Engineer and test data parameters.
