Continental Properties seeks a Data Governance Analyst to join the Data Management team at the home office in Menomonee Falls, WI. You will help steward data, monitor quality, and maintain the catalog, glossary, and lineage to enable trusted analytics.

The role is hands-on and supported by growth in AI-driven data access and self-service analytics, requiring independent ownership and strong collaboration with engineering, analytics, and business teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years in data governance, data management, BI, or related analytical role.
• Hands-on experience with governance work: data cataloging, glossary/definitions, data lineage, or stewardship.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and data movement through pipelines (ingestion, transformation, reporting).
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal oversight.
• Comfort collaborating with engineering, analytics, and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate the domain-based data stewardship model and support steward decisions on metrics, ownership, and data quality standards.
• Monitor data quality and governance health, triaging exceptions and trends.
• Maintain and expand the data catalog with clear ownership, descriptions, and classifications.
• Build and curate the business glossary with defined terms and metrics.
• Document and validate data lineage across ingestion, transformation, and reporting layers.
