Job summary

Independence Pet Holdings is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to lead the governance program's tech stack, focusing on data catalogs, metadata, and data lineage across domains. You will collaborate with Data Governance, Security, Engineering, Legal, and business stakeholders to ensure compliant, scalable data management.

The role includes administering the Data Catalog and Unity Catalog, steering the Data Stewardship Program, and coordinating Osano-based privacy controls.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Data Governance, Data Management, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with data catalog platforms and metadata management.
• Experience building a Data Stewardship Program from the ground up.
• Knowledge of data governance principles, cataloging, lineage, and stewardship best practices.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support the enterprise Data Catalog with Data Governance.
• Lead the data catalog roadmap: metadata collection, onboarding, classification, glossary, lineage.
• Support Databricks Unity Catalog: asset registration, metadata management, access governance, catalog organization.
• Partner with data owners, stewards, and engineering to improve data discoverability and governance adoption.
• Design and lead the Data Stewardship Program aligned with catalog deployment.
