Job summary

Independence Pet Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to manage governance technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams across Data Governance, Security, Engineering, Legal and business stakeholders.

You will support data cataloging, metadata management, MDM, privacy compliance and data quality initiatives. Responsibilities include administering the Data Catalog, leading governance programs, and coordinating with Osano for privacy compliance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Governance or Data Management.
• Hands-on experience implementing data catalogs with metadata management.
• Experience building a Data Stewardship Program from the ground up.
• Strong knowledge of governance principles, metadata management, data cataloging and lineage.
• Experience supporting Databricks Unity Catalog or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) and data quality processes.
• Experience with privacy/compliance technologies such as Osano.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder skills.
• Ability to collaborate across Data Governance, Security, Engineering, Product and business teams.
• Familiarity with governance frameworks and operating models.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support the enterprise Data Catalog with the Data Governance team.
• Lead the data catalog roadmap, metadata collection, onboarding, classification and glossaries.
• Support and administer Databricks Unity Catalog across data domains.
• Partner with data owners, stewards, and engineering to improve governance adoption.
• Design, implement and lead the Data Stewardship Program in alignment with catalog deployment.
• Serve as primary administrator for Osano, managing enhancements and compliance requests.
• Support MDM platforms, stewardship workflows and data quality initiatives.
• Monitor governance adoption, metrics and usage trends to drive improvements.
• Support governance projects and strategic initiatives as needed.
• Develop governance documentation, standards and procedures.
