Qualifications

• Experience testing database components.

• Experience with testing FTB tax systems or similar apps using DB2, SQL Server, Java/Pega, and web services.
• Familiarity with testing tools: IBM DataStage, Test Hub, Azure DevOps, FileZilla.
• Experience creating XML data and writing SQL queries.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong time management and ability to multitask.
• Interest in test automation and excellent written communication.

About the job:

The Data Governance Analyst:

• Functions as a team member in the testing and implementation of software applications to meet the organization’s current and evolving business needs.
• Performs effectively in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities and is responsible for analyzing business and technical requirements, considering current and future enterprise projects in order to translate the requirements into test case scenarios.
• Accurately performs test activities, and track issues/defects; providing quality assurance activities related to system test script development while working closely with other IT Partners throughout the department to troubleshoot defects and implement quality system changes.
• Develops decision making documents to address complex and critical issues and conducts independent research and analysis to recommend cost-effective solutions and process improvements.
• Fosters cooperative working relationships with management, IT partners and business counterparts. The Data Engineer or Data Governance Analyst provides services which encompass the IT domain of Software Engineering.
