This position is expected to process application documents,telephone inquiries, email requests, and otherrecruitment/application documents into theprospective studentdatabase. Coordinate and process admissions documents. Process webapplications to completion for review. Process new studentcredentials for admissions. Adhere to all FERPA rules andregulations. Adhere to WSSU Data Standards Check for minimum courserequirements. Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, meetdeadlines, and accomplish goals. Demonstrate and promote theUniversity’s cultural values. The incumbent will need to be able tobe concise and to the point. The incumbent will need to always havea positive attitude and the ability to use positive language.

This position requires consistent problem-solving to ensure theaccuracy, completeness, and timeliness of application processing.The role involves identifying and resolving discrepancies inapplicant records, such as missing documents, duplicate records, orincorrect data entries. The incumbent must review informationcarefully, determine appropriate corrective actions, and followestablished procedures to resolve issues efficiently.

This position will understand the general operation and function ofthe Office of Admissions, including knowledge of processes andprocedures. Applies knowledge necessary to provide answers andguidance to internal and external staff. Have knowledge of currentadmissions policies, especially those relating to requireddocuments necessary for admissions. Assist the Office of Admissionswith data entry projects.

This position deals with sensitive student information. Theincumbent must be able to practice and adhere to data integritystandards and state and federal privacy policies.

This position requires direct interaction with external andinternal customers and serves as an important point of contactwithin the Office of Admissions. The role is responsible forproviding exceptional customer service by assisting students,families, and staff with questions, concerns, andapplication-related needs. Responsibilities include identifying issues, offering clearsolutions, and helping to facilitate a smooth and positiveenrollment experience. The position requires maintaining aprofessional, courteous, and welcoming demeanor at all times whilehandling a high volume of inquiries in person, by phone, andthrough electronic communication.
