Job summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Headquarters (DHQ) in Roseville, MN is seeking a Data Entry Assistant to support the Twin Cities Toy Shop program. The role focuses on accurately entering and maintaining Social Services program data in SIMS and TSAMM.

This is a time-limited position with an anticipated duration of about three months. Compensation is $17.25 per hour for 25 hours per week, with the site based at 2445 Prior Ave N, Roseville, MN 55113.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enter information into the SIMS database accurately and efficiently.

• Support maintenance and integrity of the SIMS database.
• Coordinate with SIMS help desk to resolve data issues.

Position Summary

The Salvation Army Northern Division Headquarters (DHQ) in Roseville, MN supports our worship and service centers, community outreach efforts, and housing programs that serve local communities.

The Data Entry Assistant will mainly support the Twin Cities Toy Shop program and is responsible for accurately entering and maintaining Social Services program data in The Salvation Army Information Management System (SIMS) and The Salvation Army Mission Manager (TSAMM).

This is a time-limited position with an anticipated duration of approximately three (3) months.

$17.25 per hour, 25 hours a week

Essential Functions (approximate time spent)

• Data Entry (50%): Accurately and efficiently enter information into the SIMS database.
• Data Verification (20%): Verify the accuracy of data in SIMS and TSAMM.
• Inquiry Response (15%): Respond to inquiries regarding entered data.
• Document Management (5%): Maintain and secure received data and source documents, filing or routing source documents after entry.
• Database Support (5%): Support the maintenance and integrity of the SIMS database.
• Technical Support Coordination (5%): Contact the SIMS help desk to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with a management information system, preferred.
• Must pass required background checks, possess a valid driver’s license, and meet The Salvation Army’s Motor Vehicle Record requirements.

Working Conditions

• Mostly sedentary work, sitting for long periods and working on a computer.
• This is a fully site-based position working at DHQ and Toy Shop locations.
• Must communicate clearly with colleagues and participants.
• Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally.
• Standard business hours.

Travel/Driving Requirements

• Occasional local travel by agency or personal vehicle to Twin Cities Toy Shop locations, primarily during a two-week period.
