Job summary

IAT Insurance Group is offering Data Engineering & Visualization Internships in Raleigh, NC for the summer of 2027. The program pairs students with analytics, BI teams, actuaries, and executives, providing on-the-job training and exposure to real-world BI projects.

The internship runs five days a week on a hybrid schedule (office Mon-Wed, remote Thu-Fri) from May 24 to July 30, 2027, with opportunities to network with industry experts and gain hands-on technical skills.

Qualifications

• Rising undergraduate junior or senior majoring in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field.
• Analytical thinking and problem solving are essential.
• Willingness to learn and strong communication with technical and business resources.

Responsibilities

• Document complex business requirements and translate to technical steps/UI design.
• Query data warehouse tables and develop ETL pipelines.
• Design scalable data models for data analysis and visualization.
• Visualize data with interactive dashboards for business partners.

This internship will allow you to work across multiple functional areas including our Analytics and Business Intelligence Teams providing you with daily exposure to top-level business intelligence analysts, actuaries, underwriters, and executives in the field.The internship is scheduled to begin on May 24th, 2027 and conclude on July 30th, 2027.
