Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of seven years of systems engineering experience, designing and implementing complex data solutions in banking/finance.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and various relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
• Expertise in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts and best practices.
• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
• Knowledge of data integration, ETL, data transformation, and data modeling.
• Cloud exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud with data services (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery).
• Data governance, data quality, and data security with regulatory compliance.
• Experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Talend).
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of data engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of bank data infrastructure, including pipelines, databases, and warehouses.
• Architect and optimize ETL processes for diverse sources.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders to design scalable data solutions.
• Implement data governance policies for quality, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Perform advanced data modeling and database design optimization.
• Lead performance tuning for scalability, reliability, and throughput.
• Stay updated on new data tech and industry best practices.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior data engineers.
• Collaborate with IT to integrate data solutions with existing systems.
• Document data engineering processes and architectures.
