Job summary

Cloudera is seeking a Data Engineering & Streaming Specialist (Pre-sales / Customer facing) in the US to design and present cloud-native data architectures for enterprise clients. You will influence product direction, support PoCs, and ensure AI-ready data pipelines across data engineering, real-time streaming, and analytics use cases.

The role requires hands-on expertise with Spark, Kafka, Airflow, NiFi, Flink, and CDC, plus experience architecting hybrid/multi-cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing enterprise-grade data pipelines and real-time streaming solutions.
• Ability to lead PoCs and MVPs for production deployments in hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
• Strong presentation skills; able to engage engineers and executives alike.

Responsibilities

• Lead customer engagements by designing scalable, cloud-native data architectures and presenting expected business outcomes.
• Provide domain expertise throughout the sales cycle, supporting PoCs, solution sizing, and adoption for data prep, CDC, streaming use cases, and AI readiness.
• Troubleshoot complex data pipeline issues and guide escalations to ensure customer success.
• Drive internal/external technical enablement and share best practices for streaming and batch tech.
• Influence product roadmap by translating customer feedback into actionable insights for product/engineering teams.
• Act as a Cloudera evangelist, speaking at events and contributing to knowledge sharing on AI-ready data engineering.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering to align on customer success and product vision.
