Disney Experiences Technology & Digital is seeking a hands-on leader for Manager, Data Engineering. You will lead a team delivering modern data products, ensuring data freshness, security and privacy while aligning with roadmap and business needs.

The role sits in Data Products & Platform and reports to a Senior Manager or Director within the org. You will collaborate with internal partners, drive architecture decisions, oversee ETL/ELT pipelines at scale, and mentor engineers to grow technical

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
Minimum 8+ years related work experience with 3+ years leading or mentoring engineers
Strong knowledge of Data Architecture, Data Warehousing, Advanced Analytics, and Data Science implementations

Responsibilities

Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate into well-scoped engineering work
Execute against the data products strategy and roadmap for guest experiences
Lead a team of engineers day-to-day, balancing delivery with personal growth
Reinforce best practices and standards in data and engineering
Serve as a technical resource on delivery practices for engineers and partners
Support data collection strategies and onboarding while ensuring privacy requirements
Stay current on product direction and privacy landscape effects on data strategy
