Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Manager of Data Engineering to lead a team of Data Engineers while actively contributing to design, development and delivery of global instrument data pipelines. This role blends people leadership with hands-on engineering in an Agile environment.

You will partner with Product Management, Software Engineering, Architecture, and other teams to deliver scalable, secure data solutions using AWS, Snowflake, and dbt, while promoting engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical professionals and teams.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency.
• Proven ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines in cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS data services (S3/SNS/SQS/Lambda) and Snowflake.
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, and Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Data Engineers across Agile squads.
• Contribute as a hands-on engineer on solution design, delivery, and debugging.
• Partner with Product Management and Architecture to deliver scalable data platforms.
• Drive engineering best practices, testing, and observability.
