Job summary

IDEXX is seeking a Manager of Data Engineering within IT Data Engineering to lead a team of Data Engineers and contribute to the design, development, and delivery of global data pipelines. The role balances people leadership with hands-on engineering in an Agile environment across cross-functional partners.

You will partner with Product Management, Software Engineering, Architecture, and other Engineering Managers to promote best practices and ensure reliable, scalable data platforms.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing technical professionals.
• Strong problem solving, and ability to make sound technical decisions with incomplete information.
• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, support, and develop a team of Data Engineers with regular 1:1s and career planning.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data solutions supporting operations and business needs.
• Partner with Product Management, Software Engineering, Architecture, and other teams to deliver reliable pipelines.
• Contribute hands-on in solution design, implementation, and delivery within Agile delivery teams.
