Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead the GDSP 3PX Analytics & Insights team. You will own data infrastructure, pipelines, and platform capabilities powering dashboards, AI tools, and pricing applications across AWS Private Pricing.

You will mentor senior engineers, drive governance, and partner with product and software teams to deliver scalable data solutions. You will balance priorities, manage stakeholder relationships, and deliver high-quality data products

Qualifications

• 5+ years of processing data with massively parallel technologies (Redshift, Spark, Hadoop-based).
• 5+ years relational DB experience (Redshift, Oracle, MySQL, MS SQL).
• 2+ years building large-scale BI data structures via ETL/ELT processes.
• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience hiring, developing and promoting engineering talent.
• Experience communicating to senior management and customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of senior data engineers, hiring, mentoring, setting technical direction, performance
• Own the data platform strategy and roadmap for the team’s portfolio, including Redshift clusters, ETL/ELT pipelines, data models.
• Manage and optimize Redshift infrastructure for performance, cost, availability, scalability across clusters.
• Own data pipelines for AI-powered tools powering GenAI and ML applications.
• Drive data engineering for essential dashboards and internal software products.
• Establish data governance, quality, reliability standards with monitoring and SLAs.
• Collaborate with product managers, BI engineers, and software engineers to translate requirements into scalable architecture.
• Represent data engineering in planning forums, communicate trade-offs to leadership.
• Drive operational excellence with on-call processes and incident response.
