Job summary

AWS is seeking a Data Engineer to join a new centralized analytics team in Seattle, WA. You will design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines that connect product telemetry, usage metrics, and business outcomes into a unified data ecosystem.

Focus is on robust infrastructure and data models to power agentic analytics used by thousands of AWS field teams. You will collaborate with AI/ML initiatives, SDEs, and Applied Scientists to ensure data quality, governance, and scalable data products,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience
• 3+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using ETL/ELT processes
• 3+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using SQL
• 3+ years of developing and operating large-scale data structures for business intelligence analytics using data modeling
• 3+ years of in the job offered or a related occupation experience
• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
• Experience with non-relational databases / data stores

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable ETL/ELT pipelines integrating product telemetry, usage events, and business data
• Architect and implement a centralized data platform using AWS-native technologies that serves as the single source of truth
• Build and maintain data models connecting usage signals to business outcomes
• Develop data infrastructure supporting AI/ML pipelines and agentic systems
• Implement data quality frameworks with automated monitoring, alerting, and validation
• Build self-service data products with clear SLAs, documentation, and governance
• Partner with Applied Scientists and SDE teams to provide clean, well-modeled data
• Establish data contracts, lineage tracking, and catalog metadata
• Operate with a high bar for operational excellence including on-call
• Contribute to evolution from dashboards to agentic data systems
