Job summary

Western National Insurance Group is seeking a Data Engineering Intern to join our Data & Integrations team for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise data warehousing, data integration, and Agile delivery practices while supporting the Data & Integrations team.

Responsibilities include working with SQL Server, SSIS, Snowflake, Python, and related tools; developing and testing ETL/ELT workflows; debugging data issues; and contributing to documentation and Agile

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree, certificate, or coursework in a tech field.
• Interest in analyzing and improving data.
• Basic experience with SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Support data engineering projects and work with EDW and data integration.
• Develop and test ETL/ELT workflows and data applications.
• Troubleshoot data integration and data warehousing issues.
• Write clean, maintainable code and participate in code reviews.
