Abbott in Madison, Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Engineering to lead the data engineering organization for a domain, shaping strategy, roadmap, and governance to deliver governed data products and integrations.

You will partner with business and technology leaders to enable analytics, ML, and AI, building scalable data platforms while ensuring data quality, security, and lifecycle management.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or four years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
• Eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in data engineering or related leadership roles.
• Five or more years of direct people-leadership experience.
• Demonstrated experience owning delivery in a data domain or program.
• Technical depth to guide data architecture, integration patterns, and platform decisions.
• Ability to lead delivery across direct reports, contractors, and matrixed teams.
• Experience in regulated or highly controlled data environments.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsabilidades

• Lead, develop, and retain a domain data engineering organization with clear goals and succession plans.
• Own the domain data engineering strategy, roadmap, delivery commitments, and operating performance.
• Resolve material technical decisions and manage tradeoffs between priority, delivery, and technical debt.
• Ensure data products and integrations meet data quality, security, privacy, and governance requirements.
• Build relationships with senior leaders and represent the domain in platform and governance decisions.
