Job summary

Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP in the United States seeks a Mid-Level Data Engineer with SQL Server DBA experience to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines across our CRM, ERP, Billing, and Legal ecosystems. Reporting to the Data Architect, you will implement data governance and security, and work with Fabric to deliver Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions.

You will ensure high availability, performance, and robust disaster recovery for Microsoft SQL Server environments,

Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on data engineering, data warehousing, and SQL Server DBA experience.
• Experience with regulated data in Legal, Tax, Finance, or Healthcare environments is desirable.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement data integration pipelines with standard and custom connectors.
• Build end-to-end data solutions on Microsoft Fabric including Lakehouse and Data Warehouse.
• Ensure data movement, storage and processing meet encryption and access-control standards.
• Develop transformation logic using T-SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Monitor health, optimize indexing, and tune queries; manage HA/DR and backups.
• Design and implement automated data validation, alerts, and performance monitoring.
