Job summary

MFour Data Research, Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to design and manage scalable data pipelines and databases that support engineering, product, and analytics teams.

The role emphasizes Databricks and Snowflake administration, data governance, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver timely business insights. A strong background in Python/SQL/Scala and cloud platforms is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Proficiency in Databricks development and cluster administration.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake development and administration, including performance tuning and security configuration.
• Strong understanding of PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Programming in Python, SQL, or Scala for data processing and automation.
• Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools such as Apache Airflow or dbt.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Responsibilities

• Data Infrastructure Development: design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Databricks development and administration: manage workflows, optimize performance, monitor clusters and jobs.
• Snowflake development and administration: design schemas, ingest data, optimize resources.
• Database management: administer PostgreSQL and MySQL with high availability.
• Data governance and security: enforce data policies and compliance.
• Collaborate with analytics and product teams to deliver insights and align data with product goals.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting: set up alerts and resolve data-related issues promptly.
• Documentation: record workflows and configurations for knowledge sharing.
